Joe Oppedisano

Photo Book, Pages: 192, Size: 21,5 x 28,5 cm / 8.25 x 11.25 inch, Format: Hardcover with dust jaket, Colour: full colour, ISBN 3-86187-878-x, September 2006, $ 77.00

Men and their hormones – hard, wild and aggressive. Joe Oppedisano presents them in dark stylised photos that sometimes appear to come from a different epoch but are simultaneously very modern. You see a lot of skin, sweat, leather and dirt and will be helplessly drawn to these specimens of raw masculinity. The photos are perfectly set into scene, usually with just a single light source in gloomy places like bars, cellars and stairwells, drawing you into a sexually charged demiworld.

Press Clippings

"A breath taking compilation of images of blood, sweat and sex designed to draw the observer in to his own desires. These are 192 pages that should come with a health warning – hang around these clammy underground heating cellars, slimy decrepit stairways or stinking toilets and you're lost!"
