Incredible 30 years have gone by, since the Bruno Gmünder Verlag released its very first title--a gay city guide for the German capital. And 25 years ago we started to set up an international profile with the release of the Spartacus International Gay Guide and--a little later--with our first photo book. Well, times changed since back then. We started when it was still difficult to even find a print shop that was willing to work on anything with a homosexual content. Today we are an international business with a broad choice of products and up to 150 new releases per year. We proudly celebrate our anniversary with a range of low-priced special offers. Our photo book editors did a great job during the last months, to present some great new titles for 2011: Our anthology PORN - FROM ANDY WARHOL TO X-TUBE takes you on an extraordinary journey through the history of a genre that everyone knows--although most people don't talk about it. HOT FOR BOYS will continue the impressing success of Zack's hefty comic book "Bike Boy". And also some of the top stars in the photo business are back with marvellous coffee table books: With Mark Henderson we proudly present one of our costumer's favourites with stunning, new material.
For the first time ever the Bruno Gmünder Verlag is going to release a special choice of English fiction and non-fiction books. Having been the most successful publisher for gay novels and non-fiction books in German, we now take a huge step towards the international market. Discover the beautiful writing of Swedish author Håkan Lindquist ("My brother and his brother") or the lustful tips for anal intercourse by Stephan Niederwieser ("Bend Over") among others.
